McDavid took a salary discount on his last contract, and it sounds like he'll be willing to do so again this time. When asked if he was going to reset the market with a high salary this time, McDavid didn't seem too interested.
Instead of losing sleep over what his next contract is going to be worth, he provides subtle hints that he's willing to make things work, granted the team is playing at a high level.
Oilers CEO Jeff Jackson also provided fans some insight of where things potentially might go when McDavid signs his new deal.
