Last night marked Dylan Holloway and Philip Broberg's first visit to Edmonton since being offer sheeted by the St. Louis Blues over the offseason.
From the get-go, Philip Broberg looked uncomfortable, nervous, and shaky.
At 12:25 in the first period, Corey Perry notched his 5th goal of the season off an impressive feed from Darnel Nurse - with Philip Broberg on the ice for the play.
To make matters even sweeter for Oilers fans, at 5:19 in the 2nd period, St. Louis Blues defenceman Philip Broberg was retrieving the puck in his own zone in what seemed like routine play.
Unfortunately, his pass misfired, deflecting off a teammate and landing directly into McDavid's bread basket.
Of course, Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid sniped home a rocket past Jordan Binnington to put the Oilers up 2-0.
To add insult to injury, the Oilers faithful banded together for the infamous Bronx cheer, taunting the former Oilers defender by repeatedly shouting his name.
Although Dylan Holloway scored a goal last night for the Blues, Philip Broberg struggled, posting a -1 rating on the ice.
I think it's safe to say that this is a game that will haunt Philip Broberg for days to come - and Oilers fans are feeling pretty darn good this morning.
