Edmonton Oilers go up against 3 other teams in pursuit of Jonathan Toews

Recently, Chicago Blackhawks legend Jonathan Toews announced his desire to return to hockey, and fans around the NHL are eagerly awaiting to see how the situation unfolds.
According to tthe hockey news during a detailed interview with GQ.com, Toews confirmed he's come a long way with his health, and while there is no guarantee, he is not ready to say his hockey career is over.
He noted, «I think there's a big part of me that really wants to give it my all, to get back on the ice and see where it takes me.»

«There's a part of me that really doesn't feel like my career is over yet, and who knows what this next part of the journey looks like, as far as getting back on the ice and trying to make a return to the NHL. There's never any guarantees in life, but I'm going to give it my best shot. I'm going to enjoy every step of the way. As hard as it's been at times, I look back now and I'm pretty thankful for it all. So we'll see what happens.»

Oilers Daily reports that the Hockey News is naming three other teams that could be matches for Toews: the Winnipeg Jets, Colorado Avalanche, and New Jersey Devils.
According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, All three teams are Stanley Cup Contending teams in need of a bottom six centerman, and a three time champion like Toews would be a great fit. The Winnipeg Jets have the added allure of being Toews' hometown team.

Toews in his prime was one of the best players the NHL has ever produced and there's no doubt he would provide a perfect complement as depth piece on the Edmonton Oilers
He's a proven winner that hates to lose, he's defensively responsible, strong in the faceoff circle and makes players around him better.
A return to the league alongside Connor McDavid would make for a storybook ending to an incredible career, and former ties with GM Stan Bowman could make it happen.
