Edmonton Oilers linked to powerful Boston Bruins forward

The Edmonton Oilers are looking to add some physicality to the lineup following yesterday's performance against the San Jose Sharks, and insider Bob Stauffer suggests Boston Bruins forward Trent Frederic as a viable option.
Following yesterdays's 3-2 victory against the San Jose Sharks, analytics reveal that the Edmonton Oilers registered just 4 hits the entire game.
Additionally, the Oilers are currently ranked dead last in the NHL in hits, and its becoming increasingly clear that GM Stan Bowman needs to acquire a physical player to address this weakness.

According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, Frederic is a 26 year old left shot centerman, who mostly plays a grinder defensive forward role in the bottom six.
The Bruins forward had a career year last season, scoring 18 goals and 40 points in 82 games. This season has taken a turn for the worse, along with the whole Bruins team, and Frederic had just 11 points and a -13 on ice rating.

So far this season, Trent Frederic has accumulated an astounding 103 hits, far surpassing any player on the Oilers roster.
Although
Evander Kane will bring some physicality back to he lineup when he returns in March, it's clear the Edmonton Oilers will need to add some grit to their when the playoffs inch closer.
