John Klingberg reveals his thoughts on joining the Edmonton Oilers
Just now, the John Klingberg wrapped up his first official practice as an Edmonton Oiler.
Although Klingberg isn't expected to join the lineup for another week, he's settling into his new life in northern Alberta.
The players seem to be embracing him as well, with Klingberg even leading the stretches during practice.
After practice, John Klingberg made himself for his first media availability as an Oilers, highlighting his excitement to be part of such a world class organization.
Klingberg reveals his thoughts on joining the Edmonton Oilers
"Obviously, you just look up and down the lineup and what kind of team they have, and also how good they were last year.
There's been some mutual interest there before as well. But it came to the point where I had really good conversations with Stan, Kris, and Paul, and seeing how they play and how I can fit."

"Being here today, for the first day, the locker room, how things are set up here for the players, obviously this is world class -- this is an unbelievable facility. Whatever the players need, they got it here."
-John Klingberg
According to Oilers insider Bob Stauffer, the Oilers have decided to give Klingberg a chance to play with the team until the March trade deadline.
This period would be an evaluation to see if he could still play at a high level in the NHL after undergoing major hip resurfacing surgery earlier last year.
On the flip side, there's a possibility that Klingberg may not workout the way they hope and the team has put contingencies in his contract.
The Oilers gave him a $1 million prorated deal for one season which is an absolute bargain for the team considering what they could be getting in his abilities.
