Kris Knoblauch provides injury update on Zach Hyman
The Edmonton Oilers are coming off two impressive back-to-back road victories against Utah HC and the Colorado Avalanche, with the Las Vegas Golden Knights set to be their next customer tomorrow night.
With that being said, Edmonton Oilers forward Zach has been missing in action ever since suffering an undisclosed injury during the Ottawa Senators game, but head coach Kris Knoblauch just provided fans with some encouraging news.
According to Daily Hive, OilersTV's Tony Brar reported that Hyman was not a regular member of line rotation and instead acted as the team's extra forward. That may be a sign that he isn't ready to return, but Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch was not ready to commit to that.
«We'll decide that tomorrow,» Knoblauch told reporters after practice. «He's getting very close, but we'll see.»

Although Kris Knoblauch indicates that a potential return is on the horizon, the team has been performing extremely well during Hyman's absence.
Kapanen has currently played 3 games in a top 6 role, scoring a goal and an assist.
If Hyman winds up being healthy enough to draw back into the lineup, it will be interesting to see where Kapanen could be moved to. Perhaps a spot beside
Leon Draisaitl on the second line could work as the team is awaiting
Viktor Arvidsson to return from injury as well.
