Matthew Tkachuk makes snarky remark towards Team Canada

The world of hockey is gearing up for the highly anticipated showdown between Team Canada and Team USA, and the stage is set for one of the most epic international hockey games of our generation at the 4 Nations Face-Off Final. That said, Team USA wrapped up their pregame interviews today, and superstar forward Matthew Tkachuk is embracing the spotlight, making snarky comments about his opponent.
Brandon Hagel was the centre of attention a few days ago following comments he made about Matthew Tkachuk after they dropped the gloves.
Matthew Tkachuk fires shots at Team Canada
"I think we're out there playing for the flag, not the cameras. That's a part of Canada that we have in there. We don't need to initiate anything. We don't have any group chats going on," Hagel said. "We're going out there playing our game and then giving it everything and doing it for our country. We don't need to initiate everything. We're just going to play as hard as we can and do it for the flag on the chest."

Now, Matthew Tkachuk addressed Hagel's comments by firing shots of his own.
As per Liam McCormick, Tkachuk is responding to that comment directly, saying that Canada must not like each other and even referring to Hagel as a player just enjoying the spotlight.
Maybe their team doesn't like each other then if they don't have group chats. I think that's just a player enjoying his opportunity. I think our team doesn't not care about anything he's saying. There's been a lot of chatter and talk from individuals, but we only care about one thing in this room.

I think it's fairly safe to say that there's no love lost between Team Canada and Matthew Tkachuk.
Oilers fans got a goodglimpse of Tkachuk's antics through his years on the Calgary Flames and during the Stanley Cup Finals last season.
Regardless, it should be interesting to see how Brandon responds to Tkachuk's recent comments.
