Interestingly, Edmonton Oilers insider Tony Brar revealed that during yesterday's practice, defenseman Darnell Nurse was promoted to the top pairing alongside Evan Bouchard.
However, the NHL's official projections still list him on the second pairing.
It will be interesting to see where Darnell Nurse starts the game this afternoon. While the NHL still lists him on the second pairing, I fully expect Paul Coffey to rotate Darnell Nurse to the top pairing at some point during the game.
