The Edmonton Oilers could link up with Taylor Hall at the trade deadline
The Edmonton Oilers have become a hot topic for analysts across the NHL. The NHL trade deadline is two months away, and the rumour mill is swirling heavily with rumblings of a potential reunion with Taylor Hall.
It's no secret that the Edmonton Oilers are awaiting the highly anticipated return of forward Evander Kane.
In the event he's no able to return to the regular season, Stan Bowman will have a healthy chunk of change to navigate a trade, and insiders continue to link Taylor Hall to his grassroots in Edmonton.

According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, if Evander Kane is not returning before the playoffs begin, the Oilers may have the salary cap space to add a player like Hall and a defenceman. However if Kane returns before playoffs, adding Hall wouldn't make sense.

Although bringing Taylor Hall back for a Stanley Cup run would be an incredible Cinderella story, I think GM Stan Bowman should stay clear of Taylor Hall.
Despite his strong ties to the City of Chicago, Hall's best days are behind him, and there will be plenty of other suitable options leading up to the trade deadline.
