Edmonton Oilers top trade target no longer available
Due to
Stuart Skinner's inconsistent start to the 2024-25 campaign, Mackenzie Blackwood was a name heavily churning in the Edmonton Oilers trade rumour mill.
Many fans were hoping Oilers general manager Stan Bowman would make a move to acquire Blackwood due to his affordable price range, but it appears that the team remains set on Stuart Skinner and
Calvin Pickard.
Edmonton Oilers fans are currently taking to social media to voice their frustrations over the missed opportunity, but Blackwood's concerning history with injuries is a big problem.
The Edmonton Oilers may have held off on making a move on Blackwood due Stuart Skinner uptick in performance.
Notably, Stuart Skinner has been absolutely lights out for the Edmonton Oilers, posting .921 SV% in his last six starts. 6-2-1 record in his last nine starts.
