Team Canada is gearing up for a "game 7" type of matchup against the Finnish elite, but Jon Cooper is doing everything in his power to give his team the edge.
With that said, after Team USA scored 3 unanswered goals, it became clear that Jon Cooper's first line was struggling to generate any chemistry and has decided to activate a new 1st line.
According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, In the third period of last night's game, Jon Cooper made a change to bump Mitch Marner and Sam Reinhart off Connor McDavid's line, while moving up Sidney Crosby and Mark Stone.
After a clear lack of chemistry between McDavid and his wingers, it was a needed change that could continue through the tournament. Mitch Marner in particular seemed to fight the puck on McDavid's line, and Sam Reinhart didn't made any impact.
During Canada's first game, McDavid and Marner got into a heated discussion on the bench about their play.

As it stands, Mitch Marner will look to find his game on the newly assembled second line.
Hopefully, the boys come out harder and stronger against Team Finland.
